With the desktop application, you can choose your friends and groups the updates of whom you’d love to see on your desktop. You can also set up a Friendfeed group containing your dearest ones and receive updates whenever they comment or post something.

This desktop application also allows you to comment on your friends but makes the task a bit cheesy as it opens up a new browser window to do so. If you have a lot of friends who are active on social networks, blogs etc, you will have to scroll down a heck of a lot to see all those updates. It would be better if there would be an option for filtering out updates only in some preferred criteria.

Anyway this desktop widget is a cool one and will save your time and make you at ease to some extent.
