Find images on Google based on Color
Google Image Search has now got a bit advanced. It has added a new option that lets you filter your search results based on their color. Well, you’ll say I’m wrong because you won’t find any intuitive options in the user interface. But tweaking around with the search queries will bring up some good results.
Try something like purple flowers. You’ll find a lot of images of purple flowers but may also get some irrelevant results. This is mainly based on the alt tag or the text associated with the image. But modifying the URL a bit can bring some really amazing results. Try this one now, copy this code and paste it in the address bar of your browser.
http://images.google.com/images?q=flower&imgcolor=purple
This will give you more relevant results than simply the query “purple flowers”. Here the item you want to find will come after “q=” and the color type after “&imgcolor=”. For example, you can search for green flowers by replacing purple above with green.
Try some more and see how fine the results are.
